Syarani Rosli (Aran)

Head Drum Teacher

Since the early age of 6 years old, it was apparent that drumming would
be a big part of Muhamad Syarani bin Rosli (Aran)’s life. He would
bring out a pair of chopsticks and starting rocking out on pillows after
kindergarten, daily.
Fast forward to his teenage years, Aran would play drums informally
with friends and joined bands and competitions to fulfil his drumming
needs.
He then pursued his tertiary education in Universiti Teknologi Mara
(UiTM) in Music, majoring in Percussion. There, he began to spread his
wings in drums and percussion, performing in numerous functions,
dinners, music events and competitions in and out of the University.
One notable involvement was when he represented Malaysia and
performed in the Philippines for the University of Philippines’ Manila
College of Music for and Anniversary Concert event. He also performed
in multiple Convocation Ceremonies in UiTM during the course of his
learning there. He continues to perform in various events and locations
around Kuala Lumpur, including as a regular in Macha & Co. in Empire
Shopping Gallery, Subang.
With the knowledge that he has gained over the years from formal and
informal means, Aran aspires to nurture fellow chopstick drummers like
him to hone their craft in a way that is enjoyable, with proper
techniques. To date, he has produced graded Drum students as well as
young performers.
Currently, Aran is pursuing a Music Degree in his Alma Mater UiTM,
majoring in Drums whilst continuing teaching drums in institutions.
